No. The principles apply to anyone dealing with painful shoulders in a training environment, whether that’s powerlifters, general population clients, or recreational lifters who just want to train without pain. It’s built from a weight-training and clinical lens, not a bodybuilding-only system.
That’s completely fine. The assessment and rehab principles stay the same. What changes is load, exercise selection, and progression speed. Everything in the system is scalable, so you can apply it across beginners through to advanced lifters.
No. You need basic access to a bench, dumbbells or barbell, and a band. Most of the key assessments, drills, and progressions are designed to be simple and repeatable in a standard gym setting.
Yes. This doesn’t replace your clinical scope or your client’s medical care. We’ve also had many cases where clients were previously told they would need surgery for persistent shoulder pain, but after applying these principles around loading, movement, and exercise selection, symptoms improved significantly and surgical pathways were no longer pursued. It gives you a stronger movement and loading framework to support the shoulders you’re already seeing.
